Meng Kee Char Siew
YET another emo-less entry. Yey.
This time, I’ve headed to Glenmarie with mister-oh-so-funny who’s playing with his nephew’s toy gun now.
Glenmarie was his idea actually.
Destination, as the title indicated, is Meng Kee Char Siew.

It was a miracle that the crowd was less than what Will anticipated or experienced. Very unlikely, but I put my money on them clearing up people for Yeng Berhormats Zuzu’s arrival. Heh~
We ordered the famed Char Siew (BBQ pork).
And Tai-Cheong (Humongous Dick Large Sausage, sliced).
Sure is worth the effort and fuel to Glenmarie for such delicious piece of dead pig’s meat … It was cooked to perfection. Its moist texture burst in my mouth as I chew, sending intense mouth watering fragrance through my nostrils as I exhale.
Ahhh *read back* … i’m impressed with myself. Heh Heh.

Others are some must haves add-ons like some Lettuce and chicken.

Char Siew, without rice is like eating burgers without the bread.

Rice is tastey. Not hot anymore but still tastey. (Maybe they’re closing already, soon)
Not too oily, every grain does not stick together, and the portion’s just right to fill me just right.
*zuzu anticipates lectures on eating too much rice bla bla bla*
One thing that affects my overall judgement will always be their chili sauce. And their chili sauce is … yum!

An RM40 Yum.
Overweighed
I realised. That when I’m angry, or upset. I do wonders.
I stop eating. I start cleaning.
I climb stairs instead of taking the lifts. I go running instead of hunching infront of my Coffee colored laptop.
And when the problem goes away, I slouch back to myself. Sleeping on the comfort of taking things for granted and procrastination.
Now I wish i’m angry all the time.
Vibrant Variant Veekend
Its one week late, but this is something I cannot miss documenting about – shoes, food and pasar malam – bliss. Hee Hee~
We, Michelle, Will and I went for a Shoes, Shoes, Shoes event in Bangsar. Honestly, I like shoes, but not THAT much to lead me to a place that I always believed to be … too expensive for me to stomach.

… but i’m already there anyway, might as well make the best out of it …
… it wasn’t a bad decision. Cool place, GORGEOUS shoes, bags and accessories. The owner were seen arranging and rearranging some sweet treats before we make the entrance.

ain’t lying

cute little savouries were served
My personal favourite? Their accessories.

A series of shopping … window shopping … whatever you call it, always leads to a meal.

at the The Daily Grind
The Daily Grind is situated at Bangsar Village. Their specialties? Obviously, from the meat grinding machine logo, are Ice Cream…
…No, I was just joking. They serve really good burgers. Burgers that really lived up to their expectations – when PRICE were taken into consideration.

the bar

Being new there, and all, nobody really knew how to answer when we popped the magic question “what do you recommend?”. I’m not saying that those waitress were unfriendly, I’ve seen worst, they just don’t … answer magic questions.

burgs and my fish pie
Will and Michelle’s burgers are rather nice. My fish pie… My fish pie… Lets just say, you have to eat it fast. Or the “ooohs” factor goes away in a poof.

Feeling a tinee bit dissatisfied, we headed for what felt more like home in a place like Bangsar. The Pasar Malam (night market).

The old uncle who stood there selling yim-kok-kai (salted chicken) served better dinner than those we had in some funky over priced restaurant there. The plain ole RM4 fowl product might not be as special as I sing it to be, but the expensive meal is certainly messing with my judgement that day.
Ok, maybe the salted chicken is very nice.
Anyway, i’ll had to thank Michelle again for the expensive meal which I wouldn’t have been able to afford. And thank Michelle for the trip to Bangsar too.
