Because it boosts my self confidence … or did it?

October 29, 2008 at 12:06 am (I Will, And I Can Be A Health Freak!)

No seriously. Why do we girls diet?

Cus I don’t remembering wanting to impress anyone with amount of fats clinging on to me. (or rather – ‘the lack of’)

Then again, I’m a perfectionist (in a way) when it comes to having me in photos. (thats why I’m interested in photography. Then i’ll be the one who’s holding the camera instead of the one who’s posing for it)

Or MAYbe, i seek approval…

Argh nevermind.

Crap cut on ‘why’. Lets move on to ‘how’.

Besides suggesting something unrealistic like asking you to climb staircase up a 14 floored building, here’s some recipie for you lazy bums (like me) out there:

Seaweed Soup

Dried seaweed – 1 cup: 50cal
Enorki Mushroom – 1 cup: 30cal
Carrot (Cubed/Stick) – 1 cup: about 50cal
Tofu – 1 cup: less than a hundred cal
Seseme Oil – 1 tbsp: about 150cal
chicken Bone – Half chicken: about 300cal

Total cal: about 700cal … max

Ouch… 700 cal? that’s like … alot! (considering I eat breakfast too) And that’s what I ate for dinner yesterday! *grumbles*

Self consolation: I don’t eat bones. So I guess it took out some cal over there?

Next time, i’ll come up with a lower cal recipie (no, its not the all-veg salad suggestion.)

Basil update.

Baby had its first pair of true leaves!!! (ahem, remember its different than the pair of leaves you saw in the prvious picture. Thats its cotelydon. If you look closely, you’ll see two dots in the middle. That’s where the true leaves came from)

I’m gona setup a college education fund for it soon, since spring onion is sprouting fast as well.

(sorry guys, no pix. Camera’s somewhere overseas doing a Tiger Show tour with someone)

Project Basil

October 22, 2008 at 12:01 am (I am adventurous... I think, Pride Talk)

Stage gemination: Success!

Amidst my busy schedule at work and my new found hobby to loose weight, I figured I should be doing something to get my mind off things a lil’ while.

When I was a little girl, I wanted to grow a moss garden even tho its time proven that I never had a green finger.

My first plant – a cactus, died shrivelled up in wrinkles of green skin and thorns. Obviously lack of water.

My second plant – also a cactus, died of mushy roots. Mom said I gave it too much water.

The other plants I had survived, okey? (mainly also because mom watered/fertilized/sun/move/relocate into bigger pots for me)

I figured that, cactus is just not my thing. I like plants that are less … hostile thorny and yet strong and stable enough to withstand my extream ends amount of tender loving care. Besides, google never really ‘existed’ then.

Then I grew up. Moss garden = not practical.
Thus, here’s my first plant project after … many many years of disappointment in plants. …with a little help from Google. (Yes, i google everything)

Baby Basil
Day 3 – baby basil

See that tiny speck of lil’ green thing? Thats my baby. *grin proudly*
Kids nowadays, they grow up so fast. *sob terharu*

Nobody ever expect that such a tiny inanimate lil’ thing can bring so much excitement into a person’s life, right?
