Fairy Tale vs Reality

June 17, 2009 at 8:08 am (Marshmallows, Points-to-Ponder)

I’ve dreaded it, I dread it, and I will dread it forever.
That is past, present and future tense mash up of how I feel about my going away again next month.
They told it its no big deal. But what do they know? Just take a month in my place and the experience will speak my heart out through psychological torture no sane being can endure.
(Yes, Terry is insane. The sort of insanity that involves alot of kindness and a genius brain)

I’m listening to K.Perry’s You’re So Gay. Cute.

MSN and/or internet connection had been behaving really badly recently. I’d spank it if it has a butt.
**
I’ve been doing some read-ups on fairy tales on Wikipedia.
Disney had real talent in beautifying tragic stories into lovely tales that ends happily ever after.
Did you know that it took 6 million to make sleeping beauty, but only return a revenue of 3 million?
Did you know the real Pochahontas died in the ship due to ilnesses and never reach England shore?
Did you know the real Princess Anastasia did not escape? She was killed along with her sisters, mother and the last Tsar, her father.
In an older variation, Sleeping Beauty was raped, instead of being kiss from her slumber.

I’ve been doing some read-ups on fairy tales on Wikipedia.

Disney had real talent in doing cover ups into lovely tales that ALWAYS *roll eye* end with a happily ever after.

♣ Did you know that it took Disney 6 million to make Sleeping Beauty, but only return a revenue of 3 million?

♣ Did you know the real Pochahontas died in the ship due to ilnesses and never reach England shore?

♣ Did you know the real Princess Anastasia did not escape? She was killed along with her sisters, mother and the last Tsar, her father.

♣ In an older variation, Sleeping Beauty was raped, instead of being kissed from her slumber.

Anyway, click this cool lil’ princess something link I’ve gotten from Geekologie this morning for some real awesome Disney princess picture meets boom boom pow. Reality bites, ouch.

On the other note, did I mentioned that when I was a kid, I told mom that I wanna be a princess one day?

Mom told me unless I marry a prince, I can’t.

Naturally, I said that I’d want to marry a prince one day.

She said that it don’t seemed like a good plan unless I intend to convert into muslim.

*pause*

… Now that I’m a grown up, I don’t see what’s so bad about being muslim. I mean, its such a wonderful religion. And by ‘wonderful’, I meant it by referring to this, this and this article.

If mom hadn’t put it into a tone that sounded like a threat, I could be a widowed permaisuri by now, sleeping in slim wrap during the day, stock check on my shoes on evenings and have Jet Li look-alikes smotherin’ me in Cream de La Mer before bed.

And I don’t have to dread going to Singapore next month.

*sigh* Life…

Frowning Upon Religious Extremist

June 11, 2009 at 1:36 am (Points-to-Ponder, emo's not my middle name)

I may not be religious, but I believe that religion is a good thing.

Its the people IN the religion that makes atheists and non-believers a reason to create controversies over their actions.

Some of them do things that are illogical, stupid, selfish and arrogant. And yet they claim their doings are all in the name of god. Isn’t that like, blaming the Beethoven for writing a crappy piece when you received criticism on your playing?

I may not be a religion scholar, nor do I research much about every major religion in the world, but I do know that an legitimate religion do not teach people to wage war, to kill, or to inflict pain on others – be it physically or mentally. If love is too much to give, there is still tolerance and forgiveness laid in the base of every major religion in the world.

I do not expect everyone to be god-like. But please…please don’t do more to pull me further and further away from believing that god do exist. Even if you have the ancient text penned by God himself, it doesn’t suffice to do what he writes. You’ll still need to think and apply.

Because religion is like classical music. The music you produce differs by how you interpret the piece and how much you understand what does the composer thinks or wants.

Others Seemed To Have Their Up Times And Down Times… Why Do I Have Only All Downs

June 4, 2009 at 6:46 am (emo's not my middle name)

Many worked with apple polishers, oscar winners, hitlers, slave whippers…

How would you feel if you’re working with someone who’s all the above AND a taichi master cramped into one?

I feel like strangling him whenever he ask me something, and then he turn away half way listening to my explaination, just TO GO GRAB A COKE FOR HIS BOSS?!

I am not famed for my temper but whenever I see him, my anger flared, my wrinkles formed overnight, and I felt the urge to give him a huge slap on his baby skin smooth face.
He is smart. Nobody is denying the fact. I mean, how else would a person be such a perfekt person in the eye of their boss if they’re not smart.

Now, I have tonnes of work thats not even mine to start with, stacking high up like the majestic Eiffel Tower. What will become of me now that I’m demotivated to the verge of burying myself alive in the black hole called depression… To the extend that I fear waking up in the work days morning.

You may see me walking like a normal person to work everyday, but in fact, if I were to be pictured as a comic character, you’ll see me practically crawling my way to my customer site, leaving a trail of blood as I go. (think: zombie)

If you think handling a PERSON is not the worst thing. Try working with a bunch of people like that while they chatting off happily, boss, employee, all together around you all the time while you’re trying to work your ass solving THEIR problem.

It you have a concentration of a brick, or maybe you’re deaf… Try working with a pc the speed of a rusty steam train in the bullet train era, while the person behind you runs applications in your CD rom to their pc through sharing network because they don’t want to slow their own pc down.

(no, complaining is not a solution. I am, afterall, in the customer’s site. I am, to them, not worth the respect of an ant)

I do not hate Singapore. But I hate working as a vendor representative for some of em’ here.

Though, this may be a good thing… cus I started praying again (ok, its not true, but i’m almost there). My religious mom and sis would be glad.
